Deborah Song of Empire Law Publishes Filing a Car Accident Claim in the Inland Empire, a Guide for Injured Drivers

Nov 3, 2026

Norco, California – Deborah Song, founding attorney of Empire Law: Truck & Car Accident Lawyers, has published Filing a Car Accident Claim in the Inland Empire, a free ebook for drivers injured in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The 13-chapter guide follows a claim from the crash scene to the decision to hire a lawyer.

The ebook’s full title is Filing a Car Accident Claim in the Inland Empire: What Riverside and San Bernardino County Drivers Need to Know Before They Talk to an Insurer. It covers the 10-day SR-1 accident report deadline and California’s minimum liability limits of $30,000 per person, $60,000 per accident, and $15,000 for property damage. It also explains pure comparative negligence, which lets a mostly at-fault driver recover reduced damages, and Proposition 213, which limits non-economic damages for uninsured drivers.

Other chapters cover the two-year statute of limitations and the six-month deadline for claims against public agencies. The book also describes how police response differs between the two counties and why nearby camera footage is often erased within a week.

The ebook is drawn from Episode 2 of the Inland Empire Car and Truck Accident Law Podcast, “How to File a Car Accident Claim in Inland Empire w. Deborah Song.”

Song founded Empire Law: Truck & Car Accident Lawyers in May 2021, the month she was admitted to the State Bar of California (Bar Number 337172). A Moreno Valley native, she was selected for Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2025 and 2026.

“Whether you call our office or somebody else’s, please call somebody before you talk to an insurance company,” Song writes in the book.
